This was an experiment with store-bought handmade paper.
Clear plastic coating protects the paper. The slight arc shaped rigid leather handles are a play on the arcs in the paper design. The sides and bottom are up-cycled black napa leather.A light colored vinyl interior and patch pocket makes it easy to find your keys or cell phone.
This bag was done on my regular sewing machine – fun gift for a family member. I knew so little about construction at the time; the bugger had a short life…not sure I will try again as no two bags are alike!
The silver metal hardware was just the right accent for this open tote large enough to carry a laptop or tablet.
A colleague wanted something special for his wife; this was our creation.
Front view-three of six Shih tzus; a clear tabbed closure allows you to see all their faces.Back view-three other Shih tzus; the faux inked paw prints add whimsy.Bone shaped handle is black bonded leather to match the leather sides and bottom.
Front has a single patch pocket.Roomy light colored vinyl interior has one zippered pocket & an open top patch pocket. So you don’t mar the bottom, this bag has feet!
